Hi, I'm Matt Styles, a freelance software engineer and contractor based in Warwickshire, UK. I've been working in the Software Development industry since 2001 when I began my career working for a small scientific imaging company. I've been lucky enough to work on a wide variety of projects, which have helped me to build a strong set of design and development skills with a range of programming languages and development platforms.
As well as being a developer, I have worked at a management level leading both software development and QA teams. I have been a key proponent of Agile methodologies and lead the adoption of Scrum across various teams, taking on Scrum Master and Product Owner roles as well as coaching others in how to do those roles.
I've been contracting since late 2013 and started Compiled Creations Ltd so that I can take on a wider variety of contract and freelance work. I do on-site contracting for clients as well as freelance development direct to businesses and individuals. I offer a friendly, honest and professional service and will consider projects of all sizes whether they be development of new products or fixing bugs in existing code.
